James Chapman, aged 36, fell from a second floor window landing on kerb stone with severe injuries. He was taken to “Union House” which seems most likely to be “Union House Hospital, Cambridge”, The report gives account of his progress and deterioration until his leg was amputated on 19th April with further reports until May 15th. He left Union House in September returning to his home but was still unwell until October.
