Product Description

Mark Noble (1754-1827), Biographer, Rector of Barming, Warwickshire. Noble’s writings are described in D.N.B. as ñthose of an imperfectly educated, vulgar minded man. His ignorance of English Grammar and composition renders his books hard to read and occasionally unintelligible, while the moral reflections with which they abound are puerileî. He published only a handful of works and it is interesting to note that each was with a different publisher! It is not surprising that after his death a large number of unpublished manuscripts were found at his place. This manuscript referred to in the letter may well have been one of them.
