Product Description

A verse Satire in which George IV is compared unfavourably with Nero. The fine illustration shows the King in Roman costume sitting on the roof of Brighton Pavilion playing the fiddle whilst his Kingdom is burning. On his chest is a miniature ladies face – his wife Queen Caroline? One of the scarcer satires of this period. BM. No 14025.
