Product Description

Mary Blandy (1720-1752) was in gaol at the time of this portrait on suspicion of poisoning her father with Arsenic. Her defence was that she understood that by giving her father the arsenic it would ebable him to approve her relationship with Captain William Henry Cranstoun, a Scottish Army Officer. She was convicted and executed in 1752.
