Benjamin Treadwell Onderdonk (1791-1861) Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of New York from 1830 till 1861. He was an aggressive supporter of the Oxford Movement and following the controversey surrounding his involvement in the Arthur Carey ordination, and also claims of improper conduct towards women he was tried, convicted and suspended in 1845 by the House of Bishops. Exceedingly rare and important. Not listed in N.U.C. or Sabin
