Product Description

Attributed by Wood to Samuel Dugard (1645?-1697) who writes in defence of the subject of First Cousins marrying which was considered a religious taboo in 17th Century in England. The attribution is given credence by the fact of the letters on the subject written between 1665 and 1672 by Lydia Dugard first cousin and later wife of Samuel. Wing D2459 Madan III. 2973
