A number of suggestions offerred to the radical publisher, William Hone by the Dramatist, Playwright & Actor Manager William Thomas Moncrieff (1794-1857) for inclusion in Hone’s “Table Talk”. “Would not an account of Tim Bobbin with an engraving or two of the most characteristis of his performances be amusing. I should also like to see a good account of Mary(le)bone Gardens, Ranelagh, the Apollo Gardens, Dog and Ducks and other by gone places of amusement with engravings”. An interesting letter
