Product Description

Shades of Hogarth’s “Harlot’s Progress”. A Satire on the classic situation of a young country girl arriving in London and finding herself the traditional prey of the bawd. In this satire the elderly Queensberry is leaning out of his doorway looking through a double spy glass at a young country girl who has just lighted from a country wagon. Her case is on the ground marked “Elizabeth Maybush”. B.M. No. 9304
