Product Description

Satirical Cartoons on the Sabbath Observance Bill introduced by Sir Andrew Agnew (1793-1849), M.P. for Wigtownshire, on several occasions but never enacted. Sabbath observance became the mainspring of his campaign and he made four attempts to bring his Bill to Law. After his defeat in 1837 he continued with his campaign.
