Product Description

A Satire on the forbidding by the King of Pitt forming a “Broad Bottom Coalition” Gilray has imagined an elaborate soiree whereby Mr and Mrs Fox host a meeting of all those who were in opposition to themselves. The Prince of Wales who was well known to be anti Fox is shown in diminutive form. Mrs Fox is holding a fan on which is a portrait of Napoleon. The reissue of the exceedingly rare original issue of 1804, copies of which are thought to have been suppressed by order of the Prince. BM.No. 10253A
