Product Description

A Satire on Lord Brougham’s speech on the 14th April 1833 on the question of the Anti-Slavery Bill. The inference is that if the Bill goes ahead then by 1850 the Lord Chancellor could well be a West Indian black man. At the foot is printed ñThis Plate Dedicated to Lord Brougham in Commemoration of his Spiritual Speech in the House of Lords on Wednesday August 14th 1833î.
